When we serve, we use our gifts to make a difference, help others experience Jesus, and build God’s church together. Serving isn’t about filling a role; it’s about living out our faith. Serve Teams are important because the church doesn’t just happen—it happens through people.

  • This team meets on Monday mornings @ 10:30 to put together follow up mailers for our first time guests. 

  • Proverbs 22:29 “Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand

    before kings; He will not stand before unknown men.”

    The tech team is looking for people who have attention to detail, 
    comfortable with serving behind the scenes, and who enjoy cutting edge
    technology. People who enjoy creating environments to enhance the
    worship experience.  

    The tech team is required to help set up and tear down video, audio and lighting equipment. They are also required to operate the equipment in a
    manner that helps the service flow seamlessly. 






  • This is a space for all those passionate about bringing great coffee, and meaningful connections to our community through volunteering.

    Join us as we serve up smiles, create memorable experiences, and make a positive impact, one cup at a time. Volunteers of all skills and backgrounds are welcome — no experience necessary, just a love for people!

    The kids check in station is looking for people who are friendly and 
    welcoming to the parents and children. They would also need to feel 
    comfortable using a computer.

    The kids check in station is required to help assist parents in checking in 
    their children for kids church.

  • 3 John 1:4 “ I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking 
    in the truth.”

    The kids team is looking for people with a heart for teaching and assisting 
    children in learning about God and developing a relationship with Him. 
    People who are fun loving, patient and kind. People who feel comfortable 
    guiding and directing kids in a classroom setting. 

    The kids team is required to come with a joyful heart, and fully prepared to 
    teach (or assist) the lesson that is provided for them. Also, direct the kids in
    their own worship time. Be ready to interact with the parents and answer
    any questions they might have. They are required to create a safe, fun and 
    learning environment. They are also required to clean the class room at the 
    end of each service and break down at the end of the second service.

  • Join our nursery team (6mo - 24mo), as we get to love on all the babies, while serving the parents and allowing them to enjoy the service.

  • The Facilities Team helps create clean, safe, and welcoming spaces where people can encounter Jesus. By preparing rooms, caring for our buildings, and supporting weekend services, this team plays a vital role in making ministry possible every week.

  • Acts 15:4 “When they came to Jerusalem, they were welcomed by
    the church and the apostles and the elders, and they declared all
    that God had done with them.”

    The greeting team is looking for people with outgoing personalities, 
    happy and energetic, and welcoming to all. Unafraid to approach, 
    help assist, and engage in conversation with everyone. Willing to
    go above and beyond to help others feel welcomed and loved.

    The greeting team is required to make sure that everyone who
    attends Coastal, is welcomed just as they are. They are required to
    know the facility and be comfortable showing new visitors around. 
    They are responsible for breaking down the welcome banner, and for
    taking the trash out at the end of each service.

  • This Team will help keep all the grounds looking great. Grass, Trees, Plants and Parking Lot. 

    Work Days are Thursday mornings. 
  • Hebrews 13:2 “Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it.”


    The hospitality team is looking for people with a heart ready and
    able to serve. 
    This team also needs people who are outgoing and friendly. 
    People who are ready to engage in conversation with the people
    they are serving.

    The hospitality team is required to set up and make coffee before service as
    well as break down and clean up after service. They are required to keep the
    coffee and refreshments replenished until services begins. 
    Will also be required to help assist with food and drinks when special
    events take place at the church. 
  • The Next Step area is looking for social and friendly people. People ready to
    welcome our new guests and help inform the people of current and
    upcoming events. 

    The Next Step Table team is required to be at the area before and after
    service to help welcome first time guests, hand out information on our
    next steps, sell merchandise and provide information and support to all.

  • The Parking Team is often the first impression of our church. By creating a safe, friendly, and welcoming environment, this team helps people feel seen and valued before they ever walk through the doors. Serving on the Parking Team is a powerful way to set the tone for someone’s experience and help them take their first step toward Jesus.

  • Matthew 18:19-20 “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about
    anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where
    two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.”


    The prayer team is looking for people strong in their faith, with a passion
    for prayer. People who have cultivated a life of prayer. People with boldness
    and confidence to step out in faith and believe with others in prayer. 

    The prayer team is required to pray for the service, the worship team, and
    the pastor speaking with expectancy and faith for the Holy Spirit to move. 
    Pray for the people attending the service to have open
    hearts ready to receive. 

    They are also required to be available at the end of each service for
    individual prayer. Also, to break down the prayer area after service.

  • Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength,
    an ever-present help in trouble.”

    The safety team is looking for people who are aware of their surroundings, 
    have attention to detail, quick to act and are calm under pressure. People
    who have security and/or medical training (but not required). 

    The safety team is required to be trained by our safety team leaders. 
    They will be required to know how to respond to any number of situations
    including fire, medical emergencies, active shooter, etc… They will also be
    required to attend scheduled team training exercises.

  • The social media team is responsible for photography and videography, creating and managing content, engaging with the audience, and growing Coastal brand's online presence. This includes posting high-quality content such as stories, posts, reels, etc., responding to comments and messages, and staying on top of trends. The team must ensure brand consistency, follow platform guidelines, and collaborate with other areas in the church such as kids and YTH to align messaging. The goal is to build a strong, authentic, and engaging social media presence that connects with our audience and supports our mission objectives. Fully Alive in Christ.

    Due to content needing to be created and captured within the kids area, all applicants over 18 must undergo a background check. 
  • 1 Cor. 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable,
    always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your
    labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

    The usher team is looking for people who are willing to serve Christ by
    serving others. People who are helpful, able bodied, and friendly. 

    The usher team is required to help seat people, take up the offering, 
    and assist with communion if needed. Also, to set up and break down
    the chairs, and signs for service. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. 

  • Psalms 13:5-6 “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in 
    your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.”

    The worship team is looking for people who can genuinely express 
    a heart of worship skillfully through their instrument or voice, and 
    are committed to continually develop the gift God has given them. 
    We are looking for people of good character, who are competent 
    with their gifts, and who have good chemistry with the team.

    The worship team is required to practice on your own, be prepared 
    for Thursday night practice with the team, and set up and tear down 
    for Sunday morning services on the days you are scheduled to play.
